How it works

  1. Webhook nodeAdd a Webhook node (POST) and copy its production URL.
  2. SubscribePOST /v1/hooks with your API key, or from Settings → Developers.
  3. ActHTTP Request nodes with Header Auth.

Workflows act with the API key’s access.

What you need

  • n8n (cloud or self-hosted, reachable over HTTPS)
  • A ClockLap API key

Every run keeps a history: who and what was sent, per-line results, plain-language errors with a fix, and a redacted request log for admins. Webhooks fire on people_sync.completed.

Can I check the signature?

Yes: the secret comes back once when you subscribe; verify ClockLap-Signature in a Code node.

Is the n8n connection included in the price?

Yes. Every connection is part of every ClockLap plan: $1 per staff member and $2 per manager or admin a month, with no add-ons.

Is ClockLap affiliated with n8n?

No. ClockLap connects to n8n using its published API; it isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by n8n. The connection is in beta while we verify it with live accounts.
